Hylite Records was founded in 2005 by producer/rapper Showtime. The label is headquartered in Hayward, CA, and feature artists Ash, AK, B. Montana, and Showtime. Hylite music has reached the club scene, online magazines and radio programs, university hip hop functions, and a wide variety of public and private parties. The label’s debut album “The Hylite Reel,” was released in 2006 and featured 19 tracks of independent production, coordination and mastering. The label members have worked with established artists including Akon, Spice 1, Sean T, The Team (Clyde Carson, Kaz Kyzah ), Ya Boy, Big Rich, Selau, and others.
